Given the increasing and understandable voluntary caution being displayed by us all and in the light of the challenges on testing availability and the time lag on results we have decided that the risks are too great to proceed with the Fayre.   None of us involved would wish to do anything at all that might bring additional risk to the community.

  • The Plough – newly refurbished and an opportunity to meet the new landlords for a refreshing Michaelmas Ale and (from Saturday 26th Sept) to buy the winning mask.
  • SCARECROW TRAIL – make this the biggest, best trail we’ve ever had! Get creative and make a scarecrow (or two) – and a very simple theme – KEY WORKERS – there is a very long list of those who worked tirelessly to keep the rest of us safe, feed, receiving much-needed supplies through the post and courier delivery – and some Hanney folk who went above and beyond to support our community.
And everyone will decide on the winners – look at the Map (purple pins indicate where you will spot a scarecrow), walk around to check them out, choose your favourites and vote (we are just deciding on the best way to vote).
To allow time for both Judging and maximum enjoyment of the Scarecrow Trail entries may be on display from WEDNESDAY 16th SEPTEMBER to SUNDAY 4th OCTOBER
